After trying to have a baby for 25 years without success, a woman from Scotland finally had her first child. She had tried 21 times to get pregnant through IVF, but finally, she gave birth to a healthy baby girl. She was extremely happy and excited about becoming a mom.
Helen Dalglish had spent more than 17 million Kenyan shillings over twenty years trying to have a baby. Finally, she gave birth to a healthy baby girl. She said that all the struggles and difficulties she faced during those twenty years were now forgotten because she was so happy to have her baby.
She said, “When you finally have your miracle baby, all the years of waiting just fade away. I kept looking at my growing belly and wondering if it was real. Now, looking at my baby girl, I can’t believe I’m a mother. It feels like a dream come true.
The Scottish mom started trying to have a baby when she was 28 with her then-husband before finding out she couldn’t have kids for unknown reasons.
A doctor told her that her uterus was tilted in a way that made it hard to get pregnant.
After that, Helen got pregnant three times but sadly lost the babies before they were born. Her only hope of becoming a mom was using eggs from a donor.
She and her husband got the amazing news by email and were so happy they cried because becoming parents was finally within reach.
“When we got back home, I started crying. It felt like all the sadness from 25 years was trying to come out all at once, catching me off guard. It feels incredibly wonderful. My baby keeps improving. She seems really calm, relaxed, and happy. It’s like I waited for her for so long, and now I’m getting all the happiness I could ever ask for.
