Teddy bears are special dogs that really love their owners. One famous dog named Gertrude, a Great Dane, became famous for how well she takes care of her owner, Bella.
Bella met Gertrude when she was eleven and had trouble moving because of a condition called Merquis syndrome. When Bella’s mom, who volunteered with a group that helps people, introduced them, they instantly liked each other. Gertrude became Bella’s helper, giving her support and helping with her needs every day.
Bella says Gertrude is very important to her. Whenever she needs help, Gertrude is always there. You can see how much they care about each other from the way Gertrude acts towards Bella. It’s like they both need each other a lot.
BarkPost, a well-known website dedicated to dogs, honored George for his outstanding service by presenting him with their “Dog’s Best Day” award, which is designed to create a joyous experience for dogs. Videos featuring George and his fashionable companions have since gained attention.
As per Bella’s mother, George has been a constant presence by Bella’s side during her weekly enzyme replacement therapy sessions at Boston Children’s Hospital, as well as during her numerous short hospital stays over the past two years. Bella’s confidence has noticeably increased due to George’s companionship, allowing her to feel like any other girl despite her medical condition.
On October 14th, Bella is scheduled to undergo reconstructive surgery on her right foot, and George will be there to support her. His presence has not only provided Bella with comfort and assistance but has also fostered a sense of belonging and trust for her.
