On his way back from work, Rico Soegiarto saw something sad on the streets of Denpasar, Bali – a dog partly buried in the road. This poor dog was in a very bad condition, very skinny, covered in wounds, and had no fur.
Even though the dog was originally a Siberian Husky, it was hard to recognize her because of her sad state. But Rico felt very sorry for her and decided to save her.
Rico already had four rescue dogs at home, but when he looked into the eyes of this suffering dog, he felt an instant connection. He named her Hope because he saw a glimmer of optimism in her bright blue eyes, even though she was in such a terrible condition.
Rico didn’t waste any time; he picked up Hope and brought her into his home, starting her journey to recovery. To help her grow back her fur, Rico gave her soothing baths with special medicine and gave her plenty of nutritious food. Taking care of Hope and helping her get better was a labor of love for Rico, something he did with unwavering dedication.
As time passed, Hope’s transformation became more and more obvious. Her newfound confidence showed as her once-bare skin started to be covered in a lush coat of fur. She was unrecognizable once again, but this time, it was a testament to her remarkable revival.
A year later, Hope’s change was nothing short of extraordinary. She had turned into a stunning, disease-free Husky, glowing with life and energy. Rico not only rescued her from the brink but also decided to make her a cherished member of his family.
Today, Hope lives in Bali with Rico and his loved ones, enjoying her “second chance” at life, a life full of happiness and love. Rico’s kindness and dedication have not only given Hope a new lease on life but have also shown the deep bond that can exist between humans and their four-legged companions.
