While en route to the Dog Rescue Shelter in Mladenovac, Serbia, the shelter volunteers came across a dog standing alone in the rain on the side of the road.
As the rescuers neared, the dog darted away from the road and disappeared into the foliage. Upon their approach, the dog exhibited signs of aggression, which were merely a result of her fear.
After numerous efforts and displaying immense patience, they attempted to entice her out with food, and eventually, the dog made the choice to place her trust in them.
The individuals were permitted to stroke her and even lift her up and place her inside their vehicle. Subsequently, they transported her to their shelter and opted to christen her ‘Lady’.
She experienced an immense relief as she was no longer stranded in the freezing rain. Fortunately, she received a clean bill of health and was provided with exceptional care and affection.
Lady was adopted by a caring family just a month later! Now, she enjoys the luxury of a spacious backyard where she can freely frolic and play with her new furry sibling. Moreover, she relishes the comfort of a cozy bed to sleep in, a stark contrast to her previous experience of being left alone in the rain.
