Having a pet in Asia can be frightening—there are snakes and other wild animals that might attempt to eat your dog whole, just like this one nearly did.
Watch this frightening video of a carpet python grabbing onto a 9-week-old puppy named Jasper and attempting to suffocate him in a field.
It happens suddenly: Jasper is just sniffing around when the python strikes from behind a bush. Jasper tries to wriggle away, but the snake holds on tightly.
Luckily, a man nearby heard the puppy crying and quickly came out to rescue the little dog from the snake, though it was quite challenging.
In the end, the man throws the python away, and we’re happy to report that this story has a positive outcome for both Jasper and the snake. Jasper is doing well, aside from a bite on his ear, which his owners took care of, and he’s back to his usual self.
